Brushes of a wise man

Description

My late grandad's calligraphy brushes. They're pretty worn out because he'd practice every single day; and he's a 4 time calligraphy champ so seeing them battered up is no surprise. He was one of those people who would never stop learning, even into his ripe old age he would practice, read and learn. He particularly loved playing Sudoku and learning languages; I think he had mastered at least 5 by the time he passed.

Miss ya dude.

Mementos, mementos .... looking at them is painful in such a time and yet, you don't want to live without them.

Your grandfather sure was an impressive man. Calligraphy is beautiful in itself (and he really worked those rushes, they look properly used, an artist's brushes). He reminds me of my other, luckily still alive, grandfather, who at nearly 90 is still working as a political organizer and holding speeches and upgrading his protography equipment.

Five languages! That's a lot. Both that and sudoku keep the mind fit, I can well understand why he loved to do that. I'm happy for you he was so active, he didn't have to suffer through dementia (as it sounds, at least). A good life, hard as it is to say that, or think it ...

And what's the story behind these two stickers on the first box of pens? ^^
