Description

Remake of one of my first deviations for a redraw challenge ^_^

Wish I could do more work on it but yeah, lack of time x_x I feel I've only improved in shading and colouring lol. The drawing skills still look the same XP

Hey, Taryn! I'm now here to say things! :D Hopefully, you find them helpful!

Let's start with the dragon. Here, you have definitely improved. The dragon's anatomy actually more or less works. It has believable joints and the restraints of a working skeletal system. He appears to have more weights, if only because of the shadow you gave him. Your shading could use some work, and for that, you might want to look up some basics, such as core shadows and how they work. A dragon of this side should be heavy; a good shadow can give two-dimensions a lot more weight.

Second; the girl. I actually like her better in the first one. The way she's positioned in the second piece, she looks like she could slip and fall at any second. If you had placed her feet where they are, but then turned her around and had her holding onto the dragon's neck, it would be a lot more believable. The folds in your clothing have become much more defined, which is good, but you still need to work some on your anatomy.

Finally, the background. I'm really quite torn. The sky in the second one is much better, and the vibrancy of the colors is preferable. However, the detailing of the grass in the first one is more appealing. Perhaps there is a way to combine these things? But as it stands, your background has improved overall.

If you have any very specific questions, please let me know! I would love to help you out in the future. :)
